OFCDesk IDC
has many interesting features:-
- Every
CAD software handles geometric primitives such
as lines, arcs, circles and rectangles, and
on a three-dimensional CAD, spheres, cubes,
cones and surfaces. Through the combination
of these primitives' creation, edition and visualization
commands, it is possible to build, draw, or
model almost any object in 2D or 3D.
- OFCDesk
IDC handles, besides those primitives, specific
and fundamental objects for interior designing,
such as panel systems, end caps, top caps, high
density storage, raised floors, workstations,
and all the related rules and relations between
these objects, all determined so to guarantee
the consistency of the projects.
- OFCDesk
IDC imbeds all the most common and generic sets
of rules for manufacturers products, and further
specific rules can be created through a software
called IDC Content Creator, or even through
a specific API.

IDC offers database integration:

The codes of the products, the descriptions,
and the geometrical properties for elements managed
by OFCDesk IDC come from a database. Such database
is open and can be kept by any person or company.
This way, the system maintenance is independent
from the OFCDesk IDC supplier and, in most cases,
it is done by the manufacturer itself.
